Have trouble with this on golf swing.

get a cardboard tube, or an elbow brace. Swing with that and feel how it feels to swing with your arm straight.

You may also be trying to get too high on the backswing… your body only rotates so far, and you’re trying to make it go higher by using your arms. When you do that, the elbow breaks down. It could also explain why your posture is basically collapsing, as well.

You can fix this temporarily by stopping your backswing at three-quarters. You’ll still produce decent distance, but your more stable swing will produce straighter drives. For the long-term, stretch, do yoga, any exercise to increase your flexibility. If you’re on the big side, try to lose some weight. If you’re dedicated to it, you’ll definitely see results in a couple of months.

I live around Monterey Park and Work around Torrance, I’m a intermediate level recreational golfer. (Just broke 100). I can shoot pretty good, but have a consistency problem and would like to improve on my distance as well. So I’m thinking a private golf lesson would help, but just don’t know want to waste money and time on the ones that doesn’t work, any recommendations on some good golf pro around the area?

Well you can go to Wilson and Harding Golf Courses at Griffith Park where you can find a good golf pro; go to the pro shop by the first tee on Wilson. I take lessons at Majestic Golf Land on Melrose, however most of the pros there are Asian so youll have some trouble understanding them initially, but you get use to it.

I am a caddie and I am having trouble finding golf balls once they are hit from the tee, any experience or tips will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.

if you fore caddie if it is a blind tee shot try couting to 6 after you hear them hit then at around the count of six the ball should come down… Definetly wear sunglasses and as u caddie more the better you will be at finding the golf ball

Improve Your Golf Swing

How to improve your swing? Learn to see impact.

Develop an enhanced awareness of your swing at impact. Your body naturally begins to fall into perfect position; your eyes, head, and body all covering the ball for maximum power and accuracy.

Why Learning to See Impact Really Works

If you don’t see impact, you have a great potential to improve your swing and your golf game. Visual feedback is used by our brains to calculate distances, trajectories, alignments, and all things required to hit the ball accurately.

Why Keep Your Head Down Is Dangerous

Once upon a time you might have been told to keep your head down. The danger with that advice is it can easily lead to a restricted follow-through and an awkward swing. The trick is to have your eyes on the ball only at the moment of impact, letting your head move naturally into your follow-through position immediately after.

For the Feel Player

Most people rely heavily on the feel of the club in their hands, which is great, but todays extremely forgiving golf equipment has taken a lot of feel out of the game. Not taking advantage of visual feedback is like starving your brain.
