http://www.moenormangolf.com – A narrative by “Little Moe” Todd Graves on the simplicity, effectiveness and similarity of Moe Norman’s Single Plane golf swing to tour players, including Tiger Woods. For those currently practicing Moe Norman’s swing, this is a great review of the basic concepts.
The Graves Golf Academy is the world’s foremost authority on the swing of Moe Norman, a man regarded by many as the world’s greatest ballstriker. Moe Norman told a reporter in an interview that Todd Graves, aka “Little Moe”, was the ONLY person who could teach his (Norman’s) swing. Moe’s quote, “(Todd) is only one who really knows it. Really knows it. Other guys just think they do.”. See www.swinglikemoe.com or www.moenormangolf.com for more information

The biggest tragedy in golf. Jean van de Velde’s collapse at the Open Championship at Carnoustie in 1999. A double bogey 6 or better was all that seperated the Frenchman from the Claret Jug. He made a 7!!!!!! He lost the resulting 3 way playoff to local hero Paul Lawrie.
I uploaded this video as Carnoustie which is currently holding the Open, will always remind me of Jean’s antics at the last.
I have a blog entry of the tragic event. You can find it here

I’m seeing my family, and I rarely see them so I have to look nice, we’re going golfing. So what is something I should wear? Nothing professional, just like what kind of shoes are acceptable and pants and shirt. thanks!
You should wear a collared t-shirt. Any pants/skirts are acceptable as long as they hit about mid-thigh-ish or longer. No booty shorts! I would recommend sneakers if you don’t have golf shoes.

Someone on a previous post suggested , cut the sole and raise it in – and this will prevent a sway in the golf swing. Can somone who has done this be a little more descriptive on how to do this?
Please, spare the suggestions on lessons.
hi. take the shoe . right shoe . the shoemaker puts a small piece of plastic . 3 inches long . 3/4 inch hi9gh. at the back of the shoe to the sarch. this causes legs to stay stable, forces right knee to stay stable , and foot connected to rthe ground . it does work. please stay away from shoemakers in a mall just go to a small shop. a very high number of medical staff have the same thing done to thier shoes. when you tell the shoemaker what it is for. he will understand. it is a very simple illegal adjustment . the shoemaker will have you wait . cost under ten bucks. go for a walk before playing with the brace. after two months you could have it removed . there were shoes built this way early 90s . they worked so usga banned them . ken venturi, ben hogan, sam snead and byron nelson to name a few used this method . good luck . sorry spelling eyes screrwed up from cancer hack saw surgery .

I’ve been playing golf for a few years now and have had one series of lessons, but am I still a high handicapper. I’ve been thinking about getting private lessons this time around. However, I recently got a new set of golf clubs as a present and I’m not sure they’re fitted correctly for me. I want to get a club fitting to see what kind of adjustments need to be made on the clubs. Which should I do first? The club fitting or the lessons?
Well, if you’re a high handicapper, chances are, your swing is not where it will be after taking lessons and improving. I’d take some lessons and work on your swing and then get the club adjusted. The pro you work with will also be able to give you an idea of where your clubs should be situated.

I am trying to get into golf now that I have more time away from work and some money to afford new clubs and green fees. I played in the past, but not even close to good. Just played because it was fun. Now, I am going to take lessons and try to become reasonably good, so I want to get clubs that will be good to learn with, but also be clubs that I will have for a few years. My bro-in-law recommended the new Callaway Clubs, so any info on those clubs would be greatly appreciated, or any ideas for my club selection would also be greatly appreciated!
You probably can’t go wrong with Callaways but I wouldn’t spend that kind of money. Look on ebay or callawaygolfpreowned for a used set. I bought a set of X18s used and they were in great condition(couldn’t tell the difference from new). Go for a forgiving set of irons, ones with bigger offset and bigger heads. I guess X20s X16s and X18s fall into that category. They’re very good clubs and are easy to hit. Mishits still go pretty good distances.
Get a higher lofted driver and some fairway woods. I like the Callaway X or X Hot fairway woods. I think they are one of the better woods on the market today. I would also look at the Cleveland HiBore.
Get lessons also. Good luck.

We have one game where the players try to hit a tennis ball into a bucket and if they get it in, they get a prize, but we need some more ideas for our other holes. Please Help with some ideas that you guys have done at golf tournaments, or just ones that you have heard of.
